Drexall N. Blackburn, Sr., age 86 of Massillon passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at his home surrounded by the family he loved.

He was born May 6, 1926 in Augusta, Ohio and was son of the late Edwin and Bessie (Reedy) Blackburn. He was a veteran of WWII where he was a fireman in the Navy and was a Ford Motor Company retiree.

He was a member of Community Full Gospel Church, American Legion and Elks. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and bowler.

He is survived byson Neal Blackburn Jr. of Canton, Robert Blackburn of Florida, daughters Janie (Earl) Thieke of Mineral City, Durene Taylor of Alliance and Amie (Bill Allison) Jones of Massillon, brother James Blackburn of Canton, 25 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Deloris (Truman) Blackburn who died in 2011, brothers Moton Lambart, Joe Blackburn and twin brother Harry Blackburn, sister Dorothy Lake and two grandsons.
