E. Jane Hughes, age 86, of Jackson Twp., died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Aultman Hospital.

She was born October 11, 1924 in Canton, the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Annie (Stollar) McCarthy.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Jane is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Tom Trbovich, Cathi and Bob 'Hoppy' Howard, Susan and Dave Kohl, and son John Hughes and (fiancee) Loudell Venditti, two sisters, Tillie Bossart and Merri Nichols, three sisters-in-law, Jean McCarthy, Marianne McCarthy, Lillian Thompson, and brother-in-law, Dr. David Hughes, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harold P. Hughes Jr. , two brothers, Jack and Thomas McCarthy, and one sister, Emmy Lutz.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 9 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church, at 10:00 AM.

Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, in Canton, Ohio.
