Edgar J. Young, 92 of Atwater, passed away on May 22, 2018 at Chapel Hill Community.
He was born March 8, 1926 in Ravenna the son of the late Silas and Clarice (Yeo) Young.
Edgar was a sales manager at Royal Crown for many years and retired from Ravenna Oil where he was a furnace repairman.
He loved his family and worked hard all his life.
Edgar is survived by his children, Mark (Debra) Young, Marcia (Kenneth) Oeffner; two brothers, Harold (Janet) Young and Walter (Donna) Young; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Gibson) Young and son, David G. Young.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Hope United Methodist Church, 2650 Cory Ave, Akron, OH 44314 from 10am to 11am.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation starting at 11am with Rev. Donald Davies officiating.
Edgar's final resting place will be at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
