Obituary

Edith Coleman, 95, of Jackson Township peacefully passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015.



She was born on March 20, 1920 in Athens, OH, to the late Rose (Hall) and Stanley Stewart. She spent most of her life in the Jackson Township area.



Edith was the owner of Coleman Amusements along with her husband for 37 years. She was a member of Amherst Community Church and enjoyed reading, sewing, and loved animals. She also played guitar and was a talented singer.



She is survived by her loving family including her son, Harold "Butch" Coleman of Massillon, daughters Rita Blake of Port LaBelle, Florida, Sandra Filkill, Wanda (Rod) Bowman both of Jackson Township, sister Rosalee Fannin, of Ironton, Ohio, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.



Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Harold in 2009, six sisters, and two brothers.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Heitger Funeral Home, Massillon Chapel at 1pm with Pastor Atlee Hershberger officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, August 12, 2015 at Heitger Funeral Home, Massillon Chapel from 6 to 8pm.
