Edward L. Evans, age 92 of Massillon, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Altercare of Nobles Pond. He was born June 12, 1928, in Massillon the son of  the late James and Bertha (Ward) Evans. Edward retired from Electricians Local IBEW #540. He was a member Faith Fellowship Church, American Legion Post #221, and CLinton Lodge Scottish Rite. Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea as a photographer. Edward is survived by son, Edward (Lee) Evans and spouse William L. Hoover of Canton and a sister, Carol Breza of Annapolis, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan (Kaserman) Evans who died in 2000, one brother and two sisters. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 12 Noon at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 11 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in .
