Edwin R. Yingling, age 96, of Canal Fulton, died Monday, April 9, 2012.

He was a lifelong farmer and retired from Jackson Schools in 1980. He was a member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church and Northwest Senior Center where he enjoyed playing cards. He enjoyed his farm and gardening and was a Cleveland Indians Fan.

Edwin is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Janet Yingling , Ramon and Barb Yingling , Joseph and Pam Yingling, Louis and Barb Yingling; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bob Hoffee, Verla and Larry Lorenz, two daughters, Dawn Muckley, Ruth Yingling, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Yingling; 25 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife of 64 years, Myra (Tabellion) Yingling; son, Dennis Yingling.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 10 A.M. at SS. Philip and James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton with Fr. Thomas S. Acker, S.J. celebrant. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, may be made to SS. Philip and James School Endowment Fund, 532 High St. N.W., Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614.
