Elaine J. Pollard, age 76, of Jackson Twp., passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center following a period of declining health.
She was born March 6, 1949, in Lowell, MA,  the daughter of the late Alphonse and Anne (Kucinskas) Bomil.
Elaine was a 1966 graduate of Keith Hall, Lowell, MA.  She attended Lowell State College, graduating with her degree in elementary education in 1970.  She taught 3rd and 4th grade at Byam School, Chelmsford, MA.  She was also a member of St. Joseph's Lithuanian Church (Lowell, MA) and taught Sunday school.
She lived in Jackson Twp., Stark County, Ohio, for the past 28 years, having moved here from Pittsburgh, PA, in 1996.
She attended St. Michael's Catholic Church, Canton, Ohio, was active in The New Neighbors Club, and enjoyed bowling and card club.
Her main passions were her children and grandchildren.
Elaine is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jay Pollard;  children, Stephen (Rachel) Pollard, Kim Pollard, and Liz (Thomas) Knipp; grandchildren, Elijah (13), Ezra (10), Lukas (18), and Genevieve (15); sister, Gloria (Nathan) Scollo; brother, Robert (Christine) Bomil; her scrap booking and shopping friend, Martha; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. Robert England celebrant.
The family will receive friends and family at the church prior to the mass from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a Battered Woman's Shelter of your choice.
