Obituary

Elizabeth 'Babe' Ann Collier, age 82, of Massillon went to heaven on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Amherst Meadows Nursing Home. She was born in Beaver Falls, PA on August 10, 1930, the daughter of the late Fred W. and Vera May (Miller) Burau Sr.

Babe was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and AARP Chapter 3968. She enjoyed reading and knitting. She worked at Massillon Board of Education where she was a secretary and payroll clerk for 30 years. She also worked at J.C. Penney in Massillon as a sales clerk.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and cook and loved to spend time with family.

Babe is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bonnie 'Susie' and John 'Bud' Baltzer of Massillon, sister Margaret 'Peggy' Burau of Massillon, grandchildren; Shawn (Pennie) Baltzer of Navarre, Bethany (Gary) Wilson of Canton, Brent Baltzer of Tampa, FL and Cory Collier of Newport News, VA, great-grandchildren; Breanna Collier, Austen Collier, Seth Baltzer, Christopher Wilson and Cameron Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Eugene Dale Collier who died in 2004 and brother Fred 'Bill' Burau Jr. who died in 2012.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel with Pastor Larry Lalama officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 A.M. prior to the service. Interment will be later at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring, loving and courteous staff of Amherst Meadows Nursing Home and Harbor Lights Hospice Care.
