Elizabeth  M. Maurer, age 79  of Massillon, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was born March 24, 1938, in Massillon the daughter of  the late Albert and Mildred (Rikosky) Mann. Elizabeth was a member of St. Barbara Catholic church and had worked at Century Products and Boy Scouts of America. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leroy B. Maurer, sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Dawn Maurer and William and Judy Maurer; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and David Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law , Albert and Theresa Mann, Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Ralph Miller; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 10:30  A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Brian Cline celebrant. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN, 38101-9908.
