Obituary

Elizabeth Szasz, age 90 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born July 2, 1926, in Nova, Hungary  the daughter of the late Ferenc and Lujza (Kis) Nagy.
Elizabeth retired as a caregiver for the elderly.  She was also a cook for many years at Bali Hi; Red Coachman; Rizo's Steakhouse, & Towpath Inn.
She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church; where she was a volunteer for bingo, and the rectory and she enjoyed baking and gardening.
Elizabeth Szasz is survived by two sons, Frank (Margy) Szasz, Karl Szegedi; three daughters, Erika Ross, Mary Lara (Greg Drenning), Veronika  "Monica" (John) Dwyer; granddaughter, Elizabeth Renee McCarty along with 13 other grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Karl Szegedi and Frank J. Szasz; daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Szegedi McCarty (1990).
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE from 6 to 8pm.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Barbara Catholic Church at 10am with Rev. Brian Cline celebrant.
Burial to follow the service at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.
