Elsie Jean (Ferris) Brown was a special lady. She loved ballroom dancing and crossword puzzles, mystery novels and apple dumplings. She was a high-ranking official in the Grammar Police. She was bright-eyed, funny and sharp for 94 years.
Elsie was an exceptional mother to Barbara (Sue), Ferris (Karen) and Dwier (Laurie); a loving grandmother to Justin, Nathan, Lily (Amaury) and Woody; and Aunt Elsie to Nancy (John) and David, Eddie, Randy, Ted (Sandy), Holly (Steve Brownewell) and Jeanne (and almost everyone else).
She was a beloved member of the Church of the Lakes where a memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, July 1st, from 10am -12. In lieu of flowers, Elsie would like donations made to Church of the Lakes, 5944 Fulton Drive, Canton, OH 44718.
Elsie joins her husband (of 35 years) Dick, who died on the same day (June 13th), 29 years ago.  (Actually, she couldn't wait another minute to see him and left half an hour early…)
