Erica H. Crawford, 41, of Jackson Twp. passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 following a 17 month battle with cancer.

Erica was born on December 13, 1969 in Aurora, IL before moving to Jackson Twp. at the age of three. A graduate of Jackson High School and Akron University, Erica spent the last 12 years in Chicago, most recently enjoying time with her co-workers in the student travel industry. She was truly a beautiful person who loved music, hiking, swimming, cycling, jewelry design and making her nephews smile.

Erica is survived by her father, Larry M. Crawford of Jackson Twp., one sister, Jody Crawford Griech, her brother-in-law Michael Griech, and two loving nephews, Joshua and Evan all of Brecksville. She will continue to touch the hearts of all surviving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the Great Lakes region. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne (Hanson) Crawford (2001).

A celebration of Erica's life will be held Monday, July 18, 11 a.m. at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Jackson Twp. with Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Heitger Funeral Service - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, from 4 to 7pm.
