Ervin K. VanDenberg, age 81 of Jackson Township, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1941, in Sevierville, TN; the son of the late Roland and Julia (Sanborn) VanDenberg. Ervin was the owner and operator of his manufacturing company until his death.  He was an expert in his field and held many patents within the trucking industry. He was an avid pilot and loved to fly. Ervin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vivian (Turk) VanDenberg; children, Scott (Greg) Phillips, Pamela Pickard (Don Smith), Jill (Rich) Dinko; Daughter-in-law, Jeanann VanDenberg; grandchildren, Thomas (Jamie) VanDenberg, Amanda (Josh) Farler, Adam (Christina) VanDenberg; Haley, Nancy, and Anna Pickard; Alecia Dinko (Adam Kingsley), Matthew Dinko, Marisa Dinko; Erin (Larry) Sendejaz, Ryan (Jonnie) Oberhauser, Maxwell VanDenberg (Adriana Cosentino), John VanDenberg; and six great-grandchildren, Emma, Austin, Libby, Penny, Olivia, and Solomon. He was preceded in death by five siblings and his son, Sean Eric VanDenberg. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW, Massillon at 3 PM with Ben Page officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 2 PM to 3 PM. His final place of rest will be at Newman Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence.
