Eugene J. Herron, age 92 of Kingsport, TN, passed away on August 5, 2013 at his son's home in Massillon. He was born Nov. 4, 1920 in East Liverpool, Ohio son of the late Lester J. and Edna M (Dawson) Herron.

Eugene retired from Lance, Inc. (Lance-Snyder) in 1985 where he had been district sales manager. He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army Air Corp. He was a member of Seniors Golf League in Kingsport, TN and Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church.

Eugene is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Brad and Stephanie Herron of Jackson Twp., Ohio, son-in-law Terry Lane of Kingsport, TN, grandchildren Sgt. Stephen Herron USAF, Warner Robins, GA, Elizabeth Herron of Massillon, David Murphy of Greenville, SC and Denise Roller of Richmond, VA, and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae (Kunkle) Herron, daughter Sue Ellen Lane and three sisters.

Memorial services will be held Monday August 12, 2013 at Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church at 1 PM with Rev. Shane Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor's Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
