Obituary

Evelyn R. Longheier, age 91, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Little Sisters Of The Poor Home for the Aged in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

She was born October 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Herman L. and Amelia L. (Keller) Vogt and was a Massillon resident for most of her life.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, Isabella and Columbian Ladies Guild. She was a volunteer for the K of C Bingo and enjoyed playing bingo with the Little Sisters.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters Sr. Kathy Longheier SND of Massillon, Nancy (Michael) Rich of Huron, Ohio, step-daughter Mary (Larry) Schofield of Massillon, grandchildren Bob Rich of Piqua, Ohio, Jason Rich of Bellevue, Ohio, and Jennifer Doney of Massillon and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Longheier who died 2001, brother Reinhart (Bud) Vogt and sister Marian Eckroate.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home-Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary Angel Fund, 640 - 1st St. N.E., Massillon, Ohio 44646 or to Little Sisters of the Poor , 4291 Richomd Rd., Warrensville Heights, Ohio 44122.
