Florence I. Bressler, age 89, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center.

She was born October 27, 1921 in Canton, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Smith) Paul.

Florence worked at Myer's School where she was a cook for 12 years, Penny's for 3 years, and finally retiring from Bordners.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Barbara Catholic Church.

Florence is survived by her son, David (Nancy) Bressler of Massillon, and daughter, Donna Whipkey; four grandchildren, David (Denise) Bressler, Kristen (Jeff) Ramsey, Jim (Heather) Whipkey Jr., Joe Whipkey (Jeff Baden); 11 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Clem Kracker; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bressler, sister, Virginia Kracker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at St Mary's Catholic Church, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Edward Gretchko celebrant.

Burial will follow at Stanwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
