Florence A. Meeting, age 93, a life resident of Jackson Twp., passed away on June 4, 2012 in the comfort of her home.

She was born on November 7, 1918 and was daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Hollender) Rohr. Florence was a 1936 graduate of Jackson High School, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and five square dance clubs over the past 40 years including Friendly Squares. She loved the outdoors; hiking, swimming and farming. She enjoyed reading and was an enthusiastic card player.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Maurice W. Meeting who died April 19, 2002, an infant brother, brothers William and Ralph Rohr and sister Carolyn Haer.

She is survived by daughters Janice Ann (Gary) Cable of Mt. Bethel, PA and Jane Marie (Thomas) Mottice of Massillon, grandchildren Dean Cable of Mountaintop, PA, Christine (Ken) Gray of Calgary, Canada, Brenda (Wes) McKinney of Denver, CO, Stephanie Mottice of Knoxville, TN and Brian (Laura) Mottice of Massillon, and seven great grandchildren, Kaela, Tara, Aidan, Ariana, Calysta, Stacia and Leaya. Her family will forever miss her unconditional love and her determination to live life to the fullest.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel and on Wed. June 13, 2012 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. prior to the mass.
