Florence M. Rowlands, age 80, of Massillon passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Altercare Of Navarre following an extended illness.

She was born May 26, 1932, in Canal Fulton and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Schembechler) Glossen Sr. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Altar, was a bingo volunteer for many years and a member of Penn Ohio Model 'A' Ford Club.

She retired from Massillon Community Hospital in 1992 where she had been a nurse aid in the nursey and labor and delivery and had taken care of three generations of infants over 42 years.

Florence is survived by her husband of 52 years Paul Rowlands of Massillon, and sister Geraldine Huprick of Salem, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Joseph Glossen Jr. Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Massillon.

Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, Ohio.
