Frances "Kay" Strickland, age 87, of Jackson Twp., passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Aultman Hospital. She was born February 28, 1937, in Dille, WV,  the daughter of the late Curg and Hildreth (Adkins) Given. Kay retired from Massillon Community Hospital where she worked in patient accounts, and then from Amherst Meadows where she was a receptionist. Kay is survived by her husband of 68 years, John R. Strickland, sons, David (Holly) Strickland, Dale (Debi) Strickland; brother, Theodore (Ted) Given; sisters, Ivy Faye Nixon, Judith R. Riley, Mary E. Roberts, Virginia Sue Kabasky; grandchildren, Heather Davies, Joshua Strickland, Anthony Strickland, and Aaron Strickland; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Frank and James Given; sisters, Jacqueline Richardson and Linda Bailey. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no services at this time.
