On May 5, 2024, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather moved on to join his son, Steven.  Frank was born December 23, 1934, to Frank Sr. and Opal Leonard in Massillon, Ohio.  In 1953, he married his beloved wife, Jean (Lynn), and they went on to have four children.  In life he was known for his quick wit, hard working spirit and love for his Massillon Tigers and all Cleveland teams . He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Jean; children, Beth Balaski of Massillon, Jeffrey (Janice) Leonard of Fredericksburg, VA, and Jerald (Carol) Leonard of Massillon; grandchildren, Jeffrey Leonard II of Fredericksburg, VA, Autumn (Theo) Tangalakis of Ypsilanti, MI, Andrew Leonard of Fredericksburg, VA, Amanda Schernbeck of Massillon, Miranda (Joe) Ciaravino of Woodhaven, MI, and Krista (Evan) Julian of North Canton; and great grandchildren, Jaiden, Jonathan, Adyline, Jeffrey III, Genevieve, David and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven, brother, Bob Leonard, and son-in-law, David Balaski.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home, 639 First Street, Massillon.  MASSILLON CHAPEL. Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12 Noon at Brookfield Cemetery.  For the service, we ask that everyone attending honor Frank by wearing their favorite Massillon Tigers shirts.
