Frank Russell Stangelo, age 93, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Brewster Parke Nursing Home.
He was born September 1, 1921, in Elton, OH, the son of the late Dominick and Louisa Ann (Schmidt) Stangelo.
Frank retired in 1984 from Republic Steel where he worked for 41 years.
He was a life member of VFW and a member of the Eagles.  Frank loved to bowl and travel.

Frank is survived by sons, Dennis Stangelo of Massillon and Timothy (Linda) Stangelo of Navarre; sisters, Ruth Burleson and Norma Pigmon both of Massillon; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, George, and John Stangelo and sister, Mildred Matako.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Heitger Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE from 11am - 1pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1pm.
Burial to follow at Massillon Cemetery with military honors.
