Gary L. Canole, age 78 of Massillon, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center.

He was born November 10, 1934 in Saginaw, MI, the son of the late Robert e and Oda (Lighthousinger) Canole.

He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War.

Gary retired from GM.

Gary is survived by his wife, Ann Canole, daughter, Michele Smrekar; two grandsons, Doug and Patrick Smrekar; three step children; and many step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 24 at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE from 5:30pm to 7pm.

Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at Heitger Funeral Home at 7:00 PM.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, in St. Charles, MI.
