April 23, 1934 – October 27, 2015
George Karapasha,
81, of Canton passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 peacefully with his grand-children by his side. George was born on April 23rd 1934, in selo Ljubojno Macedonia to the late Sandra and Krstin Karapasha. George married the late Sava (Rajcevska) Karapasha on November 11, 1956. He then proceeded to move his family to America on December 4th, 1970 to look for a better life and opportunity for generations to come. George worked and retired from Shanafelt Manufacturing. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Vera. He is survived by his brothers Risto Karapasha, Mihajlo Karapasha, his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Linda Karapasha, daughter and son-in-law Vera and Nick Langovsky, and his four grandchildren Christopher, twins Stephen and Marisa Karapasha, and youngest grand-child Sydney Langovsky. George was very active in the raising of his grand-children. He always encouraged them to obtain a high level of education and to never forget the importance of family. Coming from a country where education was not easily obtainable and where family meant everything, he held these values deeply. George was proud of his grandchildren's accomplishments; both Christopher and Marisa attend The Ohio State University. Christopher is in Dental School, while Marisa is in Optometry School. Stephen is completing Law School at Capital University and then will proceed to obtain his LLM. Sydney is in 4th grade. George's hobbies included carpentry, gardening and attending church. All other free time was dedicated to his family.
