Obituary


George A. Schiller, age 89 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016.
He was born December 5, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Edward J. and Laura (Breehl) Schiller.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He retired from Diebold  where he was a welder and machinist.  He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and American Legion Post # 224.
George is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Kay Schiller, and six neices and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary M. (Alloway) Schiller who died in 1985 and brothers Paul and Edward Schiller; sister, Helen Antol.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara Catholic Church on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10 A.M. with Rev. Brian Cline celebrant.  Visitation will be from 9 to 10 A.M. at the church prior to the mass.  Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Barbara Food Cupboard, 2813 Lincoln Way W., Massillon, Ohio  44647.
