George D. Thomas, age 82, of Massillon died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center.

He was born August 14, 1929, the son of the late John G. and Neda Thomas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gust Thomas and sister Nedeska Emig.

He was a member of Iron Workers Local 550 Canton and St. Mary's Catholic Church.

George is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Jo. (McGuire) Thomas, son Keith (Karen) Thomas, daughter Tamela (Carlos) Thomas Sanz, sister Catherine Griffith and grandchildren Lauren, Alison, and Elena Sanz.

As per his wishes, there will be no services.
