Obituary

Glenn L. Mackey, 88 of Brewster, passed away November 18, 2012, at Brewster Parke.

He was born June 2, 1924 in Canton, the son of the late Lee and Estella (Bottomer) Mackey.

Glenn was an Army combat veteran serving in Europe during WWII and his unit assisted in the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp.

He retired from Peoples Cartage where he was a truck driver for 14 years, previously working at C.F. Waite Inc. and Lattavo Brothers.

Glenn enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling with his wife, family, and friends.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Cindy Mackey, Lee and Mary Mackey, John and Cheryl Mackey, James and Vicky Mackey, Richard and Fujie Mackey; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Robinson) Mackey.

As per his wishes no services will be held, cremation has taken place.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Brewster Parke and Mercy Hospice for their loving care and consideration of our father.
