Greg A. Spangler, age 52, of Jackson Twp., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

He was born on April 9, 1960 in Canton and was a graduate of GlenOak High School. He was a member of Crosspoint United Methodist Church, and was a coach and an avid sports fan. He had worked at Finest (Edwards) Supermarkets in Canton and Topps in Cuyahoga Falls for 30 years. He was currently employed by Nickles Bakery in Navarre.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Janice (Rohr) Spangler and daughter Ashley Spangler whom he cherished both of Jackson Twp., parents James W. and Carolyn (Stark) Spangler of North Canton, brothers Ken (Cheryl) Spangler and Scott (Laurie) Spangler all of Canton, sister Jackie Spangler of Orrville, brothers-in-law Jason (Robyn) Rohr and Jamie (Sue) Rohr, sister-in-law Julie (David) Morgan, father-in-law and mother-in-law Jerry and Connie Rohr of Massillon, eight nieces, six nephews, five great-nephews and one great-niece.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Roy and Mildred (Klotz) Spangler and maternal grandparents Dave and Esther Turner and George Stark, mother-in-law Margy (Woolbert) Rohr and nephew Lindsey Allan Rohr.

The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave N.W., Massillon 44646.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Thom Kalb officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Massillon.
