Obituary

Harold 'Hal' Grant, age 71 of Dalton, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Chapel Hill Community following a brief illness.

He was born on August 15, 1939 in Alliance, Ohio, son of the late Eldon S. and Arlene J. (Waltz) Grant.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era where he served in the Army. He enjoyed trap shooting, fishing, hunting and the outdoors and was a member of North Lawrence Fish and Game Club and North Industry Gun Club.

He retired from Eaton Corporation in 1997 where he was a tool and die maker. He had formerly worked for SKF - Tyson Roller Bearing Company.

Hal is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Joe and Darla Grant of Canal Fulton, daughter and son-in-law Dawn and Curt Rohr of Sterling, VA, three grandchildren Chris & Nic Rohr and Tanner Grant.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years Patricia (McCormick) Grant who died Feb.3, 2007.

Cremation has taken place, there will be no services.

A special thank you to all the caretakers at Chapel Hill Community and of Mercy Hospice who cared for Hal for the short time of his illness.
