Harry Halco, age 86 of Navarre, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Aultman Hospital.
He was born November 4, 1928 in Massillon, the son of the late Susan (Jurco) and Mike Halco Sr.
He was a Sergeant 1st Class Army vetrean serving during the Korean Conflict.
Harry worked for Norfolk and Southern Railroad in Brewster where he was a brakeman and conductor until his retirement in 1990.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was an excellent golfer receiving many trophies and hole-in-one plaques. In his earlier years he played softball and was on a bowling league. He looked forward to every Spring planting his vegetable garden.
Harry is survived by son, Richard J. Halco; daughter, Julie A. Epler; brothers, Mike Halco, Russell Halco, Andrew Halco; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Helen (George) Halco, sisters, Helen Jones, Ruth Donahue and Mary Montini.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 26 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church at 11AM with Rev. John Telloni officiating.
Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 1900 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH 44646.
