Obituary

Helen Haiduc, age 89, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Aultman Hospital.

She was born July 5, 1921, at the brickyard in Louisville, the daughter of the late John and Felicia (Gherman) Caplea.

She lived in the area all her life, and was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, AARP and the Knights of Columbus. Helen was an avid bowler, but loved spending time with her family, especially her little angels.

Helen is survived by her son, Samuel (Judy) Haiduc Jr. of Massillon, two daughters, Patricia (Gary) Mavis of Edgerton, Ohio, Helen (Patrick) Hayes of Jackson Twp.; sister, Aurelia Mirone of Canton; step sister, Violet Haiduc of Glasgow, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one due on her birthday July 5.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Samuel in 1998 and one sister, Ann Popa.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel, 639 First St NE, with a prayer vigil service at 5:45pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, at 10 AM with Rev. Thomas Cebula celebrant.

Burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon.
