Helen R. Eschman, age 95 of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018.  She was born November 29, 1922, in Massillon the daughter of the late William and Irene (Borell) Ridley.

She was a member of Newcomer's Chapel. Helen is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Edward L. and Peggy Eschman; daughter, Shirley Sumner; grandchildren, Edward (Sarah) Eschman, Michael Sumner and Stephanie (Dick) Meyer, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and brother Jim Ridley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John R, Eschman, son, John Eschman, II, granddaughter, Janet Shelton, brother John Ridley and sister Mary Justice.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home, 639 First St. N.E., Massillon.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 2 to 5 P.M. Burial to follow the service at Brookfield Cemetery in Massillon.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Newcomer's Chapel, 11789 Sarbaugh St SW, Massillon, OH 44647.  Condolences to the family may be here on our tribute wall.
