Homer M. Johns Jr., age 82, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center.

He was born November 20, 1929, and had lived in Massillon all his life.

He retired from LTV Steel and enjoyed walking, fishing, baseball and being with his family.

He was a veteran of the Army and he served in WWII.

Homer is survived by two grandsons Justin Johns and Allen Johns, sisters-in-law Carol Johns and Renee' Glosser, great-grandchildren Destinee and Camellia Johns and a future great-grandson to be named Allen Kody Johns II, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Donna (Glosser) Johns who died Aug. 21, 2012, brother Laverne and Kenneth Johns and sons Randy and Kenny Johns.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Heitger Funeral Service, at 11 A.M. with Chaplain Jim Walter officiating. Burial at Brookfield Cemetery.
