Howard L. Heitger Jr, age 74, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his residence in Canal Fulton.

He was born March 4, 1941, in Massillon the son of the late Howard and Ruth (Rohr) Heitger.

He retired in 2000 from Crown Cork & Seal where he had worked for 29 years.

Howard was a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Canal Fulton Ramrod Club, and Canal Fulton Northwest Senior Citizens Center.

Howard is survived by wife of 50 years, Patricia (McGeorge) Heitger; sons, George (Joyce) Heitger, Howard (Sandy) Heitger III; daughter, Justina Mann; brothers, Paul (Shirley) Heitger, Ray (Lavonne) Heitger; sisters, Rosemary (Bill) Schondel, Delores Heitger, Ruthanne Graham, Patty Heitger; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Heitger Funeral Home Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW from 2 to 6pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant.
