Howard H. Hoffman, 77, passed away August 23, 2024 at The Laurels of Massillon after an extended illness. He was born February 25, 1947, the son of the late Raymond and Ethel Hoffman. Howard was a life long resident of Jackson Twp. other than his military time in the U.S. Army from 1966 - 1968.  He served thirteen months in South Korea. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.  He attended St. Mary's School and Jackson High School.  He also attended The Northwest Church of Christ with his wife when his health would allow it. Howard retired from Jackson Local School after 26 years as a custodian.  He enjoyed bowling and golf in his younger years and had been a member of the Massillon Eagles. Howard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Addie Hoffman; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Charles Kramek of Canton; nephew Charles Kramek of North Canton, niece Melissa (Rick) Dooley of Vandalia, Ohio; great-nephew Christopher Dooley of Vandalia, Ohio; uncles Kenneth Rook of Canton and Paul (Evelyn) Rook of North Lawrence; many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by parents and several aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - MASSILLON CHAPEL.  Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton.
