Irene E. Memmer, age 90, of Akron, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at The Gables of Green.
Irene retired from  Medical Billing in Barberton, after 20 years of service.
She was a member of St. Francis De Sales Parish and was a volunteer for Hospice Care Center in Copley.  Irene was a wonderful baker, volunteered for 4-H, and enjoyed shopping.

She and her late husband enjoyed taking the grandchildren on picnics and to the parks.

Irene is survived by her son Joseph Memmer; daughter, Margaret McGowan (Kevin); grandchildren, Melissa Stilton (Jim), Christina Holb (Anthony), Lisa Memmer, Jacquelyn Memmer, and Joseph M. Memmer; great-grandchildren, Michael, Cameron, Percy, Tyler, Mya, Conner, Jasmine, Anthony, Lily, Lucy, and her cat, Megan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Memmer.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 3 P.M. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Gables of Green.
