Irene L.  "Rene" (Chanson) Summerville, age 66 of Jackson Twp. passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015.

She retired in 2013 from Crisis Intervention and Recovery Center where she was a licensed social worker.

Irene was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Al-Anon, NAMI, and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge.  She loved musicals, shopping, camels, and all things Christmas.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Pamela (Riley) Summerville and grandsons Tyler and Harrison Summerville all of Jackson Twp., brother Samuel Blaise Chanson of Utah, sisters Alane Janicek of Illinois, Patricia Pipitone of Texas, step-sisters Carol (Smoot) McHail of Pennsylvania, Susan (Smoot) Pippenger of Indiana and Ann (Smoot) Lucke of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Virginia (Teufel) Chanson, and sister Elizabeth Chanson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Heitger Funeral Home, Jackson Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11am at SS. Philip & James Church with Father Kevin McCaffrey celebrating.  Burial will follow in Warren, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Colonial Williamsburg Fund, P.O. Box 1776, Williamsburg, VA  23187-9910.
