James L. Ackerman, III, age 54, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly at his home.

He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN, son of the late James L. Ackerman, Jr. and Miriam (Stoner) Ackerman, originally of Massillon.

He had a creative spirit, forever coming up with new product ideas and loved to have fun. Jim spent most of his career in computer hardware sales, formerly owning a hardware resale business in Canton.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John F. Ackerman (in 1996).

Jim is survived by his son, Jason Kuhn, of Canton, a brother, Bob (Tia) Ackerman, of Canton, a sister, Juli (Eric) Auckerman, of Newport Beach, CA, nephews, Joe (Erika) Ackerman, of Massillon, and Dan Ackerman, of Canton, his aunts, Joan Scarfone of Canton, Penny Friedichsen of Canton, Jeanne Sexton of Long Beach, CA, Mary Kay Benjamin of Pacific Palisades, CA and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, loved ones and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd at 1:00pm at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Rd. N.W. (Rt 241), Jackson Twp.

Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service 12pm-1pm.
