James L. Fisher Jr., 71 of Massillon passed away November 13, 2012 following a short illness. He was born September 12, 1941 in Bellaire, Ohio, and was son of the late James L. and Ann (Grant) Fisher.

James worked at Remlinger's before moving to Virginia in 1982. He worked for R. D. A. for the state of Virginia until 1998 then moved back to Massillon. For the past seven years, he worked for The Independent.

He is survived by his children Connie (Justin) Matney, Angel (Fred) Moreno, James "Jay" (Becky) Fisher, Kris Hicks, Joe (Nicole) Fisher, brother Guy (Shirley) Fisher, sisters Jackie (Shorty) Petyovski and Carol Fisher, 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog K.C.

Jim will be missed dearly by his children, grandchildren and his siblings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Ginger, brother Butch, daughter Cricket, granddaughters Alex, Cass, and Jordon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 11 A.M. To 1 P.M. Followed by the funeral service beginning at 1 P.M. At Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.

Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery.
