James V. Flounders, age 86 of Massillon passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
He was born February 8, 1930 in Massillon, son of the late Ralph and Frances (Snyder) Flounders.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.
He worked in the maintenance department at Massillon State Hospital then worked for a private cleaning company.
He was a lifetime member of VFW 3124, a member of Army Navy Club and American Legion 221.
James is survived by brothers Robert Flounders of North Canton, Charles Flounders of Massillon and Gerald Flounders of Massillon, sisters Gloria Mahaffey of North Canton and Donna Baughman of Massillon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Doris Blackburn and Marilyn Ries and brother Paul Flounders.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1 P.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Massillon in Massillon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post 221, 427 Lincoln Way E., Massillon, Ohio  44646.
