James R. Rubio, age 80, died Monday, September 22, 2014.

A life resident of Massillon, he was born August 28, 1934, the son of
the late Frank and Helen (Bucci) Rubio.

James retired from R. W. Screw and will be remembered as owner of
Rubio's Spaghetti Sauce.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Elks, DAV, VFW and was an avid golfer.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years Jean (Rowe) Rubio, son James
Rubio Jr. of San Diego, California, daughters Cindy (Scott) Smith and
Tracy Rubio, sister Juanita (Nita) Stoner all of Massillon,
grandchildren Jeremy (Cassie) Smith, Cassondra Smith, Dustin (Kerry
Jordan) Smith and Ryan Smith, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at
Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel followed by the funeral service
beginning at 12 Noon.  Fr. Thomas Bishop will officiate.


Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, N. Canton, Ohio.
