James A. Willaman, age 85, of North Canton, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 following an extended illness.

He was born December 1, 1925 in Canton and was son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Phillips) Willaman.

James was a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army signal corp.

He was co-founder of the former Stark Cooling and Heating and owner of Willaman Environmental Technologies, Inc.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Uniontown, Ohio.

He is survived by his son Jeff Willaman of Canton, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Joni Willaman of Jackson Twp., sister Barbara Murphy of Jacksonville, FL, grandson Jeremy Willaman of Akron and granddaughter Meghan Willaman of Jackson Twp.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years Joanne (Krebs) Willaman who died May 15, 2008.

There will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the family's convenience.
