Jan Szprugis, 71, formerly of Columbus, passed way in Poland recently after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Janusz Zalesinsky and Tammy Bixler-Zalesinsky of Massillon and his daughter and son-in-law Katey (Art) Paradissis, and two granddaughters, all of Brentwood, TN.

A funeral and burial have already taken place in Poland.
