Janet E. Barnard, age 93, of North Canton, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Minerva Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born April 25, 1933, in Canton, the daughter of the late Park and Bessie (Walters) Powell.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and formerly worked at the Hoover Company.

Janet is survived by daughter, Lisa (Mark) Shaw; son, Craig (Jodi) Barnard; grandchildren, Nathan and Joseph Shaw; great-grandson, Roy Shaw.

She was preceded in death by husband, William "Bill" Barnard and brother, William Powell.

Janet was a devoted mother and grandmother. She liked traveling, camping, sports, reading, and a friend to many children over the years.

A private memorial service will be held and her final resting place will be at North Canton Cemetery in North Canton.
