Janet L. Eberhardt, age 85 of Massillon, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was born March 23, 1932, in Massillon the daughter of  the late Charles and Viola (Rine) Ertle. Janet  had worked at Eaton Mfg. and was a homemaker most of her life.   She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School and enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. She was a former member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church.  She was a member of Rosary Altar and St. Barbara PTA. Janet is survived by sons and daughters-in-laws, Charles and Julie Eberhardt and  Maurice and Michele Eberhardt; brother, Paul Ertle; sister, Barbara Amstutz, grandson, Chas (Michelle) Eberhardt; granddaughters, Laura (Brian)  Mollenshott,  Ashley and Katelyn  Eberhardt; great-grandchildren Cayden and Kylee Eberhardt and Everly and Elliott Mollenshott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Eberhardt who died in 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Gretchko celebrant. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel. Burial to follow the service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in North Canton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN, 38101-9908.
