It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Janet Phillips age 74,of Canton. She passed away on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, in her home. She was the daughter of Robert and Anna Belle (McDowell) Phillips. She was born on December 25, 1950. She will be missed by many. Her Care takers from Midwest Health Service will miss her. She was the shining star in her home, and she took a piece of us with her into the gates of heaven and is dancing with the angles. She attended Echoing Connecting Day Program and will be missed by the staff there also. She was a TV Junkie and loved her programs on TV. She loved to travel and was fortunate to be able to go to Hawaii and a few trips down to the Smokie Mountains. She enjoyed attending concerts.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.  She leaves behind her brother Tom Phillips, nieces Annabelle Vasai, Katrina Phillips, Nusly Gutierrez and Charity Phillips-Landers; great nieces and great-nephews, Magnus, Issac, Saoirse and Julia.
Service will be at Heitger Funeral Home Jackson Location, 5850 Wales Avenue N.W. Massillon. Calling hours are THURSDAY, January 9, 2025, from 10am to 11am and service to follow beginning at 11 A.M.  We will be going to Greenlawn Cemetery 2580 Romig Road, Akron following the service to Janets final resting place for a farewell.
