Jeanne Eberhardt Friedman, 82, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away March 16, 2017 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Born in Massillon, Ohio, on September 2, 1934, to Edward and Mary Eberhardt, she was a lifelong resident of Massillon, a graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School and Mercy School of Nursing, and a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Jeanne  was a kind hearted lady who spent her time volunteering, playing bridge, sewing and crafting, and "bumming around" with friends.  Her love of God, her family, and friends was immense and she made everyone around her feel heard, loved, and lucky to have known her.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack Friedman; brothers, Kenny and Ralph Eberhardt; and sister, Eileen Tully, as well as their spouses.
She is survived by her children, Joe (Joyce) Friedman, Jim (Kathy) Friedman, Mike (Jannet) Friedman, Frank (Colette) Friedman, and Marylou (Pete) Strifler;  grandchildren, Christopher, Jenny, Jonathan, Alex, Jack, Evan, Samantha, Rhianna, and Sarina; great grandson, Henry; in-laws Bill & Marie Friedman and Jim & Linda Friedman, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Massillon. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, on Monday from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. before the service.
Thank you to all of the amazing caregivers at Home Instead and St. Joseph Senior Living.  Thank you to all of her family and friends who visited, sent cards, and offered their thoughts and prayers throughout the years.  We are especially grateful for her angel on earth, Nancy Montgomery, who walked by her side during every stage of the disease.
