Jeffrey A. Bennett, age 60 of Jackson Twp., passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.
He was born July 30, 1960, in Warren, Ohio the son of the late John C. and Mary A. (Apthorpe) Bennett.
Jeffrey was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Jeffrey was a deputy sheriff with the Summit County Sheriff Department for 27 years.
He was an adult volunteer with Boy Scout Troop #915 Canal Fulton,
Jeffrey is survived by his wife of 23 years, Stefanie (Bishop) Bennett;
son, John; daughter, Sara; his in-laws, Patti and Bish Bishop; sisters, Rae Louise (Greg) Mihal, Kathy (Herb) Miller, Janie (Jackie) Barefoot; brothers, Donald Houghton, John (Carrie) Bennett; sister-in-law, Kathy Houghton; brother-in-law, Craig Bishop and one aunt, one uncle, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William Houghton, and niece, Johnee Lea Miller.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W., Massillon.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made for the Bennett Children's Education.
