Jerry Simon, age 68, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in the comfort of his home.
He was born February 16, 1955 in Canton, son of the late Frank and Hazel (Moorman) Simon.
Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Jerry retired from Avalon Foods after 8 years.  He formerly worked as a tanker driver for MBI and at Crown Cork and Seal.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Chris (Smith) Simon; children and grandchildren, David Ramsey, Ryan and Robin McGrath, Amanda and Lee Cunningham, Cody McGrath, Jenna and Justin Corbin, Megan Kindelberger and Mitch Long, Doug and Megan Pinkerton, Melanie and Dave Eick; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Brecken, Adison, Destiny, and Molly; brother, Raymond Simon; and sister, Sandra King.
He was preceded in death by nine siblings and granddaughter, Storm Ramsey.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 6 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel with Rev. Dale Smith officiating.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M.
