John A. Bowser, 73 of Massillon Ohio, passed away on August 30, 2022.

He was born in Salineville Ohio, the son of George and Harriett Bowser.  John was a graduate Jackson High School, class of 1967.  He joined the US Army, proudly serving his country in Vietnam.  John retired after 39 years from Sears Auto Center as a mechanic.  John was most happy; camping, fishing, boating and spending time with family.

John is preceded in death by his parents and son in law, Bradley Doemel.  He is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Roseann (Schalmo); children: Laurie (Brett) Middleton, Lisa Doemel, John (Laura); grandchildren: Katelyn, Sidney, Riley, Logan, Benjamin, and Brody.   The family would like to thank our family and friends for the amazing support.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave. N.W.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Drive, N.W., Canton, 44718 at 11 A.M.  There will also be visitation on Friday at the church prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

His final place of rest will be North Canton Cemetery.
