John M. Hoffman, age 58, of Shreve and formerly of Massillon and Ida Michigan, passed away on Jan 6, 2013 following a brief illness.

He was a truck driver for USF Holland for over 25 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Massillon as well as a long time member of Massillon Moose Lodge 481.

He is survived by his children, Allyson (Jason) Bussey, Brandy (Chris) Ryan, Clay Hoffman, the mother of his children, Deanna Hoffman, 4 grandchildren- Avery Bussey, Destinee, McKenzie and Gavin Ryan. Other surviving family include brother, Jody Hoffman, Sisters Gail Heusman & Kris Raudio and several cousins, nieces and nephews all of the Monroe, Michigan area. He is also survived by special friend Valerie Dutter of Shreve.

John loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener, trail cyclist and could often be found tinkering in the garage, yard or just spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. and from 4 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel. Funeral Services will be private.
